Twitter Admit Its Mistake

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I’m sure you are all aware what happened to my Twitter account.  As commented by Bingkee and other bloggers, that, indeed Twitter suspended a lot of accounts this week.

I did a search on Google on what really happened and I’d like to know the cause of the suspension.

I want to know the real score.

Lo and behold …Twitter, on it’s status update,  admitted that it was a HUMAN ERROR! Sounds like “pilot error” excuses whenever a plane crashed and the pilot died on the accident too. And since the pilot is gone, there’s nobody to blame anymore.

I wonder what happened to the “human” who accidentally suspended MY account and thousand others.

Here’s what on Twitter’s update status:

Restoring accidentally suspended accounts 3 days ago

Earlier today, we accidentally suspended a number of accounts.

We regret the human error that led to these mistaken suspensions and we are working to restore the affected accounts—we expect this to be completed in the next several hours.

One additional note: some the accounts suspended were using the third-party site Tweetlater . However, Tweetlater is not to blame for these suspensions nor is it in violation of our Terms.

This post update of Twitter really shows that a lot of people with legitimate accounts had their accounts suspended. This is also a justification that Tweetlater , the third party application that I’m using is not at fault.

I’m not sure where it came from that Tweetlater was to blame for this. Was there attacked on Tweetlater? Perhaps, some third party developers are “envy” on Tweetlater‘s accomplishment?  Anyway, these are just my  so-called “conspiracy theories”

One good thing that this exercises equally proved, is that, I did not commit any violation ;)

My twitter account was suspended for almost a month! It’s restored already but I find myself not using it as much as I did before the suspension.

Human error was to blame for all of this nonsense. Also, the hman was trying to suspend accts that looked shady because of the recent DDOs attacks by hackers.

Maybe it was just some angry employee who after getting fired used his last hours to ban as many accounts as possible. Those things happen from time to time.
