Top Entrecard Droppers On Sidebar
BlogDeManila’s top 10 entrecard droppers for the month of February is almost exactly the same like month! What surprised me was, 3 out of 10 crazily dropped 31 cards on BlogDeManila!, 4 dropped 30 cards, the 8-9th on the list dropped 29 cards and the last place was 28.
I’m just wondering how can they dropped that number of cards where in fact, February has 28 days only for this year!. Oh well, I don’t know how the Entrecard system counts it. I don’t want to create a debate here as long as BlogDeManila is gaining unique visitors from Entrecard members.
So instead of writing the same post just like last month, I am now putting a permanent marker for the top 10 not only for the month, but the every day top EC droppers! This will give the loyal EC droppers of BlogDeManila a full time “link love”!
I think this will also encourage everyone to drop as often as possible to get themselves featured.
Showing the top Entrecard droppers on the sidebar is very easy. All you have to do is to take advantage of the RSSS feed Entrecard provides. Follow the easy steps here:
- Login to your Entrecard account
- Click on the Statistics button which is located on the top menu.
- Scroll down a bit on the middle of the the Statistics page and look for the “Top card droppers”
- Right mouse click on the RSS button and choose option “Copy Link Location” to copy the link to clipboard. You may temporarily paste it on Notepad.
- Next, login to your WordPress blog account.
- On your WordPress dashboard
6.1. On ver. 2.6 and below, choose Design>Widgets
6.2. On ver. 2.7, choose Appearance> Widgets - Add RSS widgets on one of your Sidebar.
- Edit the RSS widget and paste (CTRL+V) the RSS link on copied on step no. 4
- Change the title if you want (e.g. Top Entrecard Droppers)
- Finally, save the changes.
You’re done! Next step is to encourage your reader to visit your top entrecard droppers. This is just a one way to show your appreciation to your loyal entrecarders.

It’s because the Entrecard “top droppers” on the statistic page is not the previous “month”, but the previous “30 days”

You will see those numbers go up when they start paying out for credits. Now, blogger have a huge reason to power drop. I like top droppers widgets because they are (most of the time) dofollow, increasing your rank. There is a huge incentive to drop to the top.
