Good tips and tricks . I want to add something more.
I think we shouldn’t forget that the main bunch of visitors sould come from search engines. This is essential . Because all the others methods are just seem as forcing and not too much organic! For example sending posts to facebook pages by manual can take visitors but can also take reverse reactions from the members of the group if this group is not of your website. On the other hand if you stop to post your link to facebook or another social websites like twitter, visitor traffic will also stop . There is no regularity. But search engines are organic and send you regular and quality visitors. So we have to make an optimum seo. If we think that seo of our website is okey than we can share our time for other methods.

So far I have seen the greatest success in getting my blog promoted through the simple act of sharing a thoughtful comment on someone else’s blog. You would be amazed at the results gained by actually taking the time to READ the material in full before leaving a comment. Drive-by-Spam only serves to irritate others and is a waste of time and energy. Thanks again for sharing these tips and tricks of blog promotion so freely as there are those of us who surely benefit from it.

Cool tips. Its really hard to generate traffic although you got some great articles on your blog. However these social bookmarking sites and the emerge of social media sites are really helpful for promoting a blog.

I use some of these but not all of them. I refuse to join Digg because they’re always kicking people out, and I’m not in the mood to sign up for StumbleUpon either. I do use Technorati and Delicious, though.

Of course, nothing works better than commenting on other blogs to get people to come, not even asking your friends to go to your blog & comment to drive your stats up.
