From Free to Paid Projects
Wow. Time flies so fast.
My last post was a week ago. I was busy in setting up 2 new websites this past week.
The first project is a website for a non-profit organization. I actually volunteered to this group to setup their website for free.
Yup, you’ve read it right! It’s free.
During our first meeting, after I discussed with them on how to setup their website from choosing the appropriate domain name for their organization and looking for the best web hosting provider, I was a bit surprised when one of their officers took out a credit card from her wallet and quickly told me to registered their domain name right away.
Since we were online, we registered their preferred domain and after that we search for the web host provider. Before we signed up, I gave them the time to read some of customer’s web hosting review on the web host provider that they have chosen.
We ended our meeting with their website setup already.
The 2nd website which I’m doing is a paid one. Actually, this new client was referred to me by one of the directors of the first project that I’ve done. I would say that it’s a God given project. I was not really expecting this project.
I was in Bohol for a vacation when this new client called and wants me to re-designed their existing website. She told me that I was referred by one of her friends. Of course, I gladly accepted the project. You see, voluntarism does have benefits too!

Congrats! You deserve it for having such a good heart, always willing to help. Glad you’re being compensated.
thanks for the good words, Rochelle!
Thanks for visiting my site. Web Designer ka ba? Marami akong gustong itanong kasi mukhang very active ka. Siguro I’ll read from your post and try to ask. Can we exchange links? Oo nga pala, if ever you have time sali ka sa contest na setup ko. My blog is Xleontips.
Noel, I will join the contest as one of the sponsors. thanks for dropping by.
Can I ask what you’ll be sponsoring? An Ad Space or cash or domain name? Thanks again for the support.
I posted them on your site already.
Once again, I would like to thank you so much – you and your wife. By the way, sorry I really have to ask this. I’d like to clear the sponsored prize. You told me “EC Credits (3000 each) and 1 month 125×125 ads (each domain also)”
Is that 1000EC and 1 month ads for each site? or 3000EC and 1 month ad for each site?
This is the first time I held a contest and I don’t know if that is how they do it. Again, thank you very much. I’ll add you and your wife in the sponsors list now.
Noel, 3000 ECs and 1 month 125×125 ad for each domain as well. so that’s a total of 12K ECs aside from PinayMom.
Volunteering is a way of promoting yourself, you do have to start from something. Good luck!
Thanks, I have made your Blog de Manila one of the major sponsor since you are sponsoring a very large amount of ECs. Thanks again.
Sounds great, Eric. Good things come to those who share their blessings. Good luck and congratulations on your new project!
